Corrientes internet access grows via fixed broadband

In Corrientes, Argentina, internet access reached 1,112,693 connections in June 2026, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec). This represents a year-on-year increase of 2.9 percent, slightly below the national average growth of 3.3 percent.

There is a notable divergence between connection types in the province. Fixed internet access grew by 21.4 percent compared to the previous year, significantly outpacing the national average of 9.0 percent. Conversely, mobile access saw a marginal increase of only 0.1 percent, trailing the national growth rate of 1.8 percent.

Regarding user distribution, residential connections totaled 1,081,181, a 3.0 percent increase, while organizational connections reached 31,512, up 2.6 percent. The province's penetration rate stands at 0.92 accesses per inhabitant, compared to the national average of 1.11.
