Corrientes receives machinery for Argentina's first CLT timber plant

The province of Corrientes, Argentina, has received 47 containers of heavy machinery and equipment at the capital's port for the installation of Cambium Build. This facility will be the first industrial plant in Argentina dedicated to producing cross-laminated timber (CLT).

Located in Gobernador Virasoro, the project involves an investment of more than 20 million dollars. The plant will cover 4,800 square meters and utilize Mass Timber technology to transform renewable wood into large-format structural components. This construction method can reduce building times by up to 50 percent compared to traditional concrete and steel systems.

Governor Juan Pablo Valdés stated that the provincial government is working to create conditions that attract private investment to boost local industry and formal employment using regional wood and labor.
