Boca Juniors appoints new head coach after Claudio Úbeda leaves

Club Boca Juniors announced that Claudio Úbeda will no longer serve as the team's head coach. Following a meeting with club sporting director Marcelo Delgado, the club confirmed the termination of Úbeda's contract. During his tenure, Úbeda managed 32 matches, recording 17 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses, a 60.42% win rate. The change comes after the team was eliminated in the Copa Libertadores group stage by Universidad Católica and failed to progress in the domestic league playoffs. Boca will resume training in mid‑June under a new, yet‑to‑be‑named coach, with the club targeting the Clausura, the league champion trophy, the Copa Argentina and the Copa Sudamericana later in the year.

The announcement also noted that the club's technical staff will be restructured, and Delgado will oversee the recruitment of the new manager.
