Corrientes trains 120 forestry workers in fire prevention

The Government of Corrientes, through its Ministry of Production, conducted two days of training for 120 forestry workers from Grupo Garabí in Gobernador Virasoro. The program aimed to strengthen response capabilities regarding rural and forest fires.

The training included both theoretical and practical sessions covering fire prevention, initial combat techniques, the proper use of tools and equipment, and personal safety measures. Roberto Rojas, Director of Forestry Resources, emphasized that such training allows workers to act in an organized, safe, and efficient manner during the critical first minutes of an emergency.

This initiative is part of the Rural Fire Prevention Program, managed by the Directorate of Forestry Resources under the Secretariat of Forest-Industrial Development. The goal is to provide permanent strengthening of prevention and response capacities throughout the province to protect people, productive areas, and natural resources.
