Corsair Adds Trak Racer to Fanatec Lineup in Sim Racing Expansion

Corsair announced the acquisition of the assets of Trak Racer, a Melbourne‑based designer of sim racing cockpits, seats, monitor mounts and motion systems. The deal brings Trak Racer into Corsair’s growing portfolio of brands and complements Fanatec, which supplies the electronic components such as wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals and shifters.

By combining Fanatec’s electronics with Trak Racer’s hardware, Corsair will offer a complete sim racing ecosystem that also extends into flight simulation. Founder Matt Sten will join Corsair as Chief Technology Officer for Sim Solutions, while CEO Thi La said the acquisition “meaningfully expands Fanatec’s sim racing lineup” and welcomes Trak Racer’s community. The company plans to leverage its global retail and distribution network to make Trak Racer products available in more markets worldwide.
