Cortazar hosts Third Regional Forum of Neighborhood Security Committees

The Third Regional Forum of Neighborhood Security Committees was held in Cortazar, Guanajuato, organized by the Undersecretariat of Prevention of the Secretariat of Security and Peace. The event brought together representatives from various municipalities, including Comonfort, Salamanca, Irapuato, Villagrán, Celaya, and Juventino Rosas, to exchange challenges, results, and community projects.

Elia Bárbara Lugo Delgado, the Undersecretary of Prevention, emphasized that security and peace are built through community participation and cooperation with authorities. Participants discussed how organized neighborhood committees help recover public spaces and ensure that local needs are communicated to government officials to be transformed into actionable projects.
