Corte do Leitão clinches title at Apucarana municipal futsal tournament

The municipal futsal championship in Apucarana resumed after a hiatus, drawing a packed crowd to the Complexo Esportivo Estação Cidadania. In the final, Corte do Leitão defeated Real União 4-0, while Ipicks secured third place by beating União FAP 8-0.

Mayor Rodolfo Mota praised the large attendance and the importance of reviving the competition. Sports Secretary Bruno Marchi said the tournament marks another step in rebuilding the city's sports calendar, joining earlier events such as the field‑football super‑championship and the May 1st tournament. Prize money was awarded: R$2,000 to the champion, R$1,000 to the runner‑up and R$500 to the third‑place team. Caio Júnior of Ipicks finished as top scorer with 12 goals, and Gustavo Emanuel of Real União was recognized as the least‑scored‑against goalkeeper. The event was organized by physical‑education teachers Ângelo Danilo and Maikon Gaburro, who announced plans for a 2027 edition featuring first and second divisions.
