Cortemilia Unveils 72nd National Hazelnut Fair for August 2026
On Monday 3 August, a press conference was held at the Grattacielo Piemonte in Turin to launch the 72nd edition of the National Hazelnut Fair in Cortemilia, scheduled for 22‑30 August 2026. Regional officials including Piedmont President Alberto Cirio, regional ministers Paolo Bongioanni (Commerce, Agriculture, Tourism) and Marco Gallo (Mountain affairs), Cortemilia mayor Marco Zunino and Pro Loco president Paolo Valentino attended.
The fair aims to promote the Hazelnut Piemonte IGP, a product recognized internationally, and to showcase the Alta Langa territory’s agricultural traditions, landscape and cultural heritage. Organisers highlight a value‑added supply chain that links growers, cooperatives, processing firms and tourism operators.
The 2026 program will combine tastings, cultural events and family‑friendly entertainment, attracting visitors, industry operators and media. The event is positioned as a key summer attraction for the Piedmont region and a platform for local producers to reach national and overseas markets.
