Corticeira Amorim profit drops 31.7% in H1 2026 amid restructuring
Corticeira Amorim announced a net profit of €25.2 million for the first half of 2026, a 31.7% fall from €36.84 million a year earlier. The decline was driven by non‑recurring restructuring costs of €14.7 million, including €13.5 million linked to the overhaul of its cork‑flooring segment, Amorim Cork Solutions.
Consolidated sales slipped 5.8% to €445.8 million, partly due to the depreciation of the dollar, which the company says amplified the decline to 4.6% after adjusting for currency effects. EBITDA fell 5.5% to €82.1 million, while net debt was reduced by €12.3 million relative to the end of 2025. The firm paid a €46.6 million dividend and invested €13.7 million in fixed assets. Amid the overall contraction, Amorim Cork Solutions saw a 5.3% rise in sales of its non‑cork segments in Q2, offsetting weakness in the flooring business, and Amorim Florestal’s revenue dropped 9.9%.
