Corto Condorello short film festival returns to Rome

The second edition of the Corto Condorello short film festival is scheduled to take place from December 11 to 13, 2026, at Cinema Troisi in Rome. Organized by the Piccolo America Foundation in collaboration with MUBI and the byNWR platform, the festival is dedicated to filmmakers under the age of 35 from around the world.

Director Nicolas Winding Refn will preside over the international jury. The jury will award the ‘Condorello d’Oro’, while the audience will select the ‘Condorello d’Argento’. Winners of these two main prizes will be offered a one-year agreement for international distribution on MUBI. Additionally, a new ‘Pink Condorello’ category, conceived by Refn, will allow selected authors to publish their works on the byNWR platform for online user voting.

The international jury includes various figures from cinema, music, and fashion, such as director Abel Ferrara, Fondazione Prada’s Head of Programs Chiara Costa, and James Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
