Corumbá and Cascavel push for improved traffic signage

In Corumbá, councilman and chamber president Ubiratan Canhete de Campos Filho (known as Bira) asked the municipal traffic agency to revamp the worn parking‑spot paint and add vertical signs. He warned that faded markings cause vehicles to park illegally, creating congestion and safety hazards, and highlighted the benefits of 45‑degree angled parking when properly marked.

In Cascavel’s Tropical II neighbourhood, residents complain that drivers ignore a roundabout and speed through the intersection despite a 40 km/h limit. Speed‑bump humps that were removed in 2023 have not been reinstated, and a request to reinstall them has received no response. The city's traffic authority says the removal met a community request and that the roundabout will be included in a future revitalisation plan.
