Mato Grosso reports fiscal updates and transparency initiatives

Several administrative and fiscal developments are occurring in Mato Grosso. The State Court of Accounts (TCE-MT) has issued a favorable preliminary opinion regarding the 2025 government accounts for Primavera do Leste, noting that the municipality exceeded constitutional minimums for education (27.51%) and health (27.06%) spending. Additionally, Primavera do Leste received a high transparency certification for its parliamentary amendment portal, scoring 92.50%.

In Corumbá, the Municipal Chamber has returned R$ 3 million in surplus funds to the Executive branch to fund mandatory parliamentary amendments for health, education, and social assistance.

Regarding digital infrastructure, the State Comptroller General (CGE) has concluded the technical planning phase for modernizing the State Transparency Portal in partnership with the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). The project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), aims to improve public access to data through intuitive navigation and clearer language.

Furthermore, the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra-MT) has approved an R$ 8.8 million project for the revitalization of the Federal University of Mato Grosso's (UFMT) Aquatic Complex in Cuiabá.
