Brazilian municipalities Bragança Paulista and Corumbá rank high in education access

The 2026 Municipality Competitiveness Ranking, developed by the Centro de Liderança Pública (CLP) with technical research from GovTech, has highlighted several Brazilian municipalities for their performance in education access.

Bragança Paulista achieved a notable national position, ranking 22nd in Brazil for the Access to Education pillar. Within the Southeast region, the city holds 13th place, and it ranks 12th within the state of São Paulo. The evaluation considers criteria such as enrollment rates in early childhood, elementary, and high school, as well as the proportion of full-time students.

Corumbá also showed strong results, ranking 2nd in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and 6th in the Center-West region for the same indicator. The ranking, which analyzed 423 municipalities with populations exceeding 80,000, distinguishes between access and quality to assess both service availability and educational outcomes.
