Corvin Castle to host medieval theater production ‘Corvus’

The Corvin Castle in Hunedoara will host the theatrical production ‘Corvus’ on Saturday, August 22. Performed by actors from the I. D. Sîrbu Theatre in Petroșani, the show is part of a larger initiative by the local administration to commemorate the 570th anniversary of Iancu de Hunedoara’s victory against the Turks at the Battle of Belgrade.

The production combines historical facts with humor and a medieval atmosphere, centered around the legend of the Corvin family and figures such as Iancu de Hunedoara and Matthias Corvinus. The performance features an original script, video-mapping technology, and medieval combat displays staged by the Asserculis Cultural Association. Directed by Constantin Radu Tudosie, the event is free to the public, with a final performance scheduled for September 5.
