Corvo Municipality invests in new business incubator
The Corvo Municipality in the Azores is investing over 411,000 euros to rehabilitate a building in the historic center to house a new business incubator. The project, known as the Incubadora de Empresas e Negócios de Base Local e Tecnológica, aims to foster local creativity and support technological and local business ventures.
Mayor Marco Silva stated that the facility is designed to provide four workstations, an information desk, coworking spaces, and meeting rooms for training. While priority will be given to local residents, the space will also be available to visitors and external entrepreneurs. The construction, which began in February, is expected to be completed between November and December. The initiative is also part of a broader effort to rehabilitate abandoned buildings on the island and support sustainable tourism.
