COSAFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers begin in Botswana

The CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA qualifiers are set to take place in Gaborone, Botswana, from August 20 to 29. Eight of Southern Africa’s top women’s clubs will compete for a single berth in the continental finals.

Namibian assistant referee Eveline Augustinus has been selected as one of 18 match officials from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region to undergo training and officiate during the tournament. She is the only Namibian official included in the selection.

Matches will be held at the GU Stadium. The tournament features two groups of four teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals. Notable participants include last year’s runners-up, ZESCO Ndola Girls from Zambia, and Zimbabwe’s Herentals Queens.
