Cosedil F3 Motors Akademia Messina struggles in early season

Cosedil F3 Motors Akademia Messina has faced a difficult start to the volleyball season, earning only one point from four matches and securing three sets. Under the guidance of coach Leo Barbieri, the team has faced opponents including Roma, Club Italia, Costa Volpino, and Trento.

Despite the low standing, statistical trends offer potential for improvement. The team demonstrated significant offensive capability during their home match against Club Italia, recording 70 winning attacks with a 46% positivity rate and 32% efficiency. This performance was notable as the team managed to build offensive opportunities even when reception positivity was at 34%.

Recent away matches against Costa Volpino and Trento have shown improvement in service reception. Sara Bellia recorded high reception metrics, with positive reception reaching 65% against Costa Volpino and 67% in Trento. The technical staff is now focused on finding balance and consistency to translate these individual technical strengths into sustained team performance.
