Cosenza approves one-million-euro park redevelopment project

The Cosenza municipal government has approved the Design Direction Document (DIP) for a project to qualify and functionally integrate the green spaces of the Nicholas Green and Robinson parks. The project, valued at one million euros, is part of the ‘Cosenza-Rende Urban Agenda 2021-2027’ sustainable urban development strategy.

Mayor Franz Caruso stated that the intervention aims to treat the two parks as a single, integrated inter-municipal urban park. The plan seeks to transform the Campagnano stream from a separating element into a central link within the green network. The redevelopment of Nicholas Green Park will focus on making the area more inclusive, accessible, and integrated to enhance public use of open spaces.
