Cosenza Calcio fans appeal to Calabria Governor Occhiuto

The fan association ‘Cosenza nel Cuore’ has issued a formal appeal to Roberto Occhiuto, the Governor of the Calabria region, regarding the management of the Cosenza Calcio football club.

In a certified email (PEC), the association stated that the situation has moved beyond mere sporting results and has become a complex social issue. They cited a significant climate of tension between the local community, including much of the province, and the club's ownership. The group noted that the Cosenza City Council had also expressed unanimous opposition to the management's behavior.

The fans requested institutional intervention to defend values of territorial identity and belonging, arguing that the club's leadership has remained unresponsive to public appeals and appears focused solely on fiscal and economic interests rather than its social mission.
