Reports indicate that previous sporting directors attempted to persuade owner Guarascio to invest in a permanent sports center, but these efforts were unsuccessful. The refusal to invest is attributed to the owner's view that his commitment to the club was temporary, making long-term infrastructure investments undesirable.
