Cosenza Calcio owners say club sale open, demand transparent process
The owners of Cosenza Calcio issued an official statement, signed by lawyers Francesco Caputo, Alessio De Bartolo and Francesco De Sensi, to clarify the early stage of negotiations for the club's sale. They reaffirm that the club is willing to be sold, but only if the process is linear, transparent and confidential.
The statement notes that entrepreneur Vincenzo Rota, administrator of San Vincenzo Srl, had signed a confidentiality agreement. In a letter dated 15 June 2026, Rota indicated that the initiative was personal, not on behalf of the company. The club’s legal team asked Rota on 17 June 2026 for the names of any individuals or entities interested in buying Cosenza Calcio, a prerequisite for signing a new confidentiality agreement. The owners say Rota failed to provide those details, and the request was ignored. They stress their continued readiness to transfer ownership, provided the negotiations follow a straightforward and lawful path.
