Cosenza council adds agenda items, Muzzana del Turgnano launches Pro Loco

The Cosenza city council, chaired by President Giuseppe Mazzuca, has expanded the agenda for its meeting on 5 August. New items include approval of a regulation for elderly care centres, the allocation of a municipal premises to the association “La Spiga ODV”, budget balance measures, a revision of the TARI tax regime effective 1 January 2026, and urgent road‑work authorisations following severe February weather. A possible second session is set for 6 August.

In Muzzana del Turgnano, a new Pro Loco association was inaugurated in the former railway station. Lucia Castellano was elected president. The group aims to promote local traditions, volunteer activity and the area’s cultural assets. The ceremony was attended by regional council president Mauro Bordin, mayor Genziana Buffon and other local officials, who highlighted the association’s role in strengthening community identity.
