Cosenza neighborhood committees announce autonomous operations

The Coordination of Neighborhood and Village Committees in Cosenza has announced it will continue its activities with full civic and organizational autonomy. This decision follows a lack of concrete response from the municipal administration regarding a proposal to formally recognize and value these committees as tools for local participation and representation.

Despite previous institutional dialogues and formal requests sent to the President of the City Council and the Mayor, no operational progress has been made. The Coordination stated that while they do not intend to close off dialogue with municipal institutions, they will no longer subordinate their work to the wait for formal administrative recognition.
