Cosenza reopens historic via Milelli sports facility

The historic sports facility on via Milelli, serving the Cosenza I – Zumbini school complex, is scheduled to officially reopen on Sunday, October 18, at 10:00 AM. The facility has undergone redevelopment to restore full functionality for school activities and community sports.

Management of the area has been entrusted to ASD Romualdo Montagna. The concession prioritizes educational activities for the school complex, including extracurricular programs, while also facilitating sports initiatives for the local community.

To mark the reopening, the “Memorial Costantina Ruffolo” youth football tournament will be held, focusing on social cohesion and sportsmanship. Mayor Franz Caruso stated that returning functional sports spaces to the city is an investment in youth, education, and neighborhood quality of life.
