Cosenza reopens San Domenico complex as university hub

The San Domenico Monumental Complex in Cosenza has officially reopened following more than three years of renovation and restoration work. The project, which involved a 6 million euro investment, aims to revitalize the city's historic center.

Following the inauguration, the keys to the facility were handed over to Gianluigi Greco, the Rector of the University of Calabria (Unical). The complex will serve as a specialized university hub for healthcare professions, specifically hosting degree programs in Nursing and Physiotherapy. Once fully operational, the site is expected to bring approximately one thousand students into the historic district, supporting local urban regeneration efforts.
