Cosimo Lo Sciuto elected general secretary of Fillea Cgil Palermo

Cosimo Lo Sciuto has been elected unanimously as the new general secretary of Fillea Cgil Palermo, the construction workers' union in Palermo. Lo Sciuto, 42, succeeds Piero Ceraulo, who is moving to a national role with Fillea Cgil in Rome.

In his programmatic report, Lo Sciuto emphasized a commitment to maintaining the union's presence in construction sites and factories throughout the province. He stated that the union will focus heavily on workplace health and safety, as well as monitoring major ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects, such as the new tram line.
