Cosmax and L'Oréal sign beauty innovation agreement in Paris
Cosmax and L'Oréal Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance next-generation beauty innovation. The agreement was signed in Paris on October 8, coinciding with the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France.
The partnership, which has existed in various forms since 2004, will expand beyond product supply into intensive research and development. The collaboration focuses on three primary areas: global product development leveraging L'Oréal’s consumer insights, the discovery of innovative cosmetic ingredients and active components, and formulation innovation inspired by Korean beauty trends.
The signing ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jung-kwan and French Special Envoy for Trade Nicolas Forissier. Cosmax Vice Chairman Choi Kyung and L'Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus personally signed the agreement to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between the two nations through the strategic beauty industry.
