Cosmin Olăroiu secures first win with Al Jazira

Cosmin Olăroiu secured his first victory as the manager of Al Jazira with a 2-0 away win against Hatta in the UAE domestic league. The goals were scored by Simon Banza in stoppage time of the first half and Ali Al Memari in stoppage time of the second half.

This victory follows a difficult start for the 57-year-old Romanian coach, who recently led the team to a 1-4 defeat against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad in the Asian Champions League qualifiers, resulting in Al Jazira’s early exit from that competition.

Olăroiu, who has previously managed several prominent Emirati clubs including Al Ain, Sharjah, and Shabab Al Ahli, expressed pride in joining the prestigious Al Jazira project. He noted that the club's objectives and professional vision were key factors in his decision to sign with the team.
