Cosplayers showcase high-detail costumes at EVO Japan and Comic Market

Major Japanese fan events, including EVO Japan 2026 and Comic Market 108, have showcased a high level of craftsmanship and dedication among cosplayers.

At EVO Japan 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight, participants focused heavily on characters from 'Street Fighter 6'. Cosplayers reported using custom-made outfits, specialized wigs, and rigorous physical training to accurately replicate the physiques and textures of characters such as Cammy, Juri, Mai Shiranui, and C. Viper.

Comic Market 108, held in August, saw approximately 260,000 attendees over two days. The event featured a diverse range of cosplay spanning anime, VTubers, and various video games, including 'Call of the Night' and 'Nikke'. Despite rainy weather, participants continued to engage in photography and character portrayals.
