Cosquín National Folklore Festival announces 2027 details

Preparations are underway for the 67th edition of the Cosquín National Folklore Festival, scheduled to take place from January 23 to 31, 2027, at Plaza Próspero Molina. The festival organization has released the official poster, which highlights the 60th anniversary of the ‘poncho coscoíno’ as a central symbol of the event.

The full programming lineup will be announced on October 2 during a launch event in Córdoba Capital, with general ticket sales beginning the same day via the official website.

In anticipation of the main festival, Comodoro Rivadavia has been confirmed as the host for the Pre Cosquín 2027 qualifying round. The event will be held on October 3 and 4, 2026, at the Alfredo Sahdi Cultural Center. This edition features the reintroduction of the ‘Oral Folkloric Expression’ category, aimed at preserving oral traditions, storytelling, and poetry. Currently, 85 artists from across the Patagonia region have already registered for the competition.
