Cosquín Rock announces PLAYGROUND monumental art prize

The Cosquín Rock festival has announced PLAYGROUND, an art prize for the 2027 edition, which seeks to select a monumental work to be installed at the Aeródromo Santa María de Punilla.

The winning project will receive 35,000,000 pesos. The call for entries is open to Argentine artists, creators, and collectives, or legal residents over the age of 18, until September 11. The prize focuses on works that incorporate playability into their materiality, such as habitable structures, labyrinths, or giant instruments that allow for public interaction and movement.

A jury including architects, musicians, and cultural managers will oversee the selection process. The initiative is supported by En Vivo, the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, 220 Cultura Contemporánea, and the Instituto Cultura Contemporánea.
