Costa Brava rental prices hit 1,460 euros monthly average
Seasonal workers in the Costa Brava region are facing significant challenges due to rising housing costs. The average monthly rent in the Girona coastal area has reached 1,460 euros, which is 19% higher than the Spanish national average of 1,224 euros.
This residential pressure is most acute in municipalities such as Cadaqués, Begur, Platja d’Aro, Palamós, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Roses, and Lloret de Mar, where high demand meets limited supply. The crisis is also spreading to nearby towns like Blanes and Calonge.
According to an analysis by Keller Williams Espanya-Andorra, these high costs are beginning to impact labor mobility and the ability of local businesses in the hospitality, catering, and retail sectors to recruit and retain necessary staff.
