Costa Brava summer rentals rival annual income in Girona

An analysis by the real estate portal pisos.com reveals that summer vacation rentals in certain Spanish coastal regions generate income comparable to a full year of long-term rentals in provincial capitals.

In the Costa Brava, profits from July and August reached €14,056, surpassing the €11,950 generated by a single apartment rented for twelve months in Girona. Similar trends were observed in the Balearic Islands, where summer earnings reached €23,384 compared to €23,649 for a full year in Palma, and on the Costa de la Luz, where summer income hit €8,352 against €8,823 for a year in Huelva.

Ferran Font, spokesperson and director of studies at pisos.com, noted that coastal property owners essentially benefit from two types of returns: economic return during the eight weeks of the summer market and a return of use for themselves during the remaining ten months of the year.
