Costa Coffee announces new Oswestry opening and Thornbury closure

Costa Coffee is expanding its presence in Oswestry with a third branch scheduled to open in spring 2027. The new drive-thru location is part of the Artillery Point development off Whittington Road. The development will also host a Greggs and a Domino's Pizza, the latter of which is replacing a planned Burger King.

In contrast, the Costa Coffee branch located on Thornbury High Street is scheduled to close on October 28. The company stated it is working with staff to provide redeployment opportunities. This closure follows the recent shutdown of a Holland & Barrett retail location in the same town.
