Costa Coffee expands into Central America with Panama launch
Costa Coffee has officially launched its first two stores in Panama, marking a strategic entry into the Central American market. The British-founded multinational, which has been owned by The Coca-Cola Company since 2019, intends to use Panama as a central operational hub and a springboard for further expansion throughout the region.
Operating in Panama via a franchise agreement with Grupo Maritanos, the company aims to leverage the country's geographic position and its status as a financial and logistical bridge between North, Central, and South America. The brand will introduce its signature Mocha Italia Blend to a local market known for its sophisticated coffee culture and high-quality Geisha coffee production.
