Costa Cruzeiros launches Sea Destination cruises to Brazil for 2026/27 season
Costa Cruzeiros is extending its Sea Destination concept to Brazil, offering immersive on‑board experiences that highlight the local culture of each port. The program will debut on the Costa Serena during the 2026/27 cruise season, with two Brazilian ports – Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro and Camboriú in Santa Catarina – featured as destinations.
Executive President Dario Rustico described Sea Destination as a “destination within the cruise,” adding that the initiative combines shipboard amenities with location‑specific activities, such as regional cuisine and themed events. Although the company has not issued an official press release, the new offering appears on the Costa Cruzeiros reservation platform. The rollout follows previous Sea Destination experiences in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and other regions, where passengers have enjoyed vineyard tours near Mount Etna, white‑moon parties in the Caribbean, and sunset celebrations in Formentera.
The move aims to deepen guest engagement and differentiate Costa Cruzeiros in the competitive cruise market by turning each port stop into a distinct, culturally rich excursion.
