Costa de Granada reports 92% occupancy for August

The Costa de Granada is reporting strong summer tourism figures, with August expected to close at a 92% occupancy rate. The region anticipates maintaining high activity into September with an estimated 80% occupancy.

Gregorio García, president of the Provincial Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Companies of Granada, noted a 20% increase in foreign tourists, specifically mentioning visitors from the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. He observed that recent seismic activity in Granada city and its metropolitan area may have inadvertently encouraged tourists to remain at the coast during the final stretch of August. Additionally, prices in the coastal area have seen an approximate increase of 5%.
