Costa Rica CCSS releases 30,000 additional yellow fever vaccine doses
The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) has made approximately 30,000 additional doses of the yellow fever vaccine available to meet rising demand. The move comes in anticipation of the high travel season, particularly for tourists traveling in December.
To access the vaccine, interested individuals must provide proof of a confirmed airline ticket. The immunization must be administered at least 10 days prior to entering the destination country. This availability is intended for travelers with flight dates scheduled through December 31, 2026.
A yellow fever vaccination is a mandatory entry requirement for several countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Trinidad and Tobago.
