Costa Rica receives industrial awards and launches digital heritage map

Costa Rica is seeing significant developments across its industrial, cultural, and digital sectors. The country's industrial landscape was highlighted at the Expoparks Latam Awards 2026, where Costa Rica Green Valley was named Industrial Park of the Year and Savia was recognized as New Industrial and Logistics Development of the Year.

In the digital and educational sphere, the government launched ‘Descubrí Costa Rica’, a free interactive mapping platform. Developed by the national brand COSTA RICA in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Costa Rica, the tool provides academic-backed data on the nation's geography, marine biology, history, and biodiversity to benefit students, researchers, and tourists.

Tourism efforts also continue to gain international recognition. The ‘This is Pura Vida’ campaign, led by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, won Gold for Content Marketing Campaign of the Year and Silver for Media Partnership of the Year at the Travel Marketing Awards 2026 in the United Kingdom. Additionally, the country is preparing for the thirteenth edition of Oktoberfest Costa Rica in Heredia, which will feature dual event experiences to attract diverse audiences.
