Costa Rica: Herediano and Saprissa prepare for Clásico del Buen Fútbol

The Costa Rican Football Federation (Fedefútbol) has appointed Steven Madrigal as the referee for the upcoming match between Club Sport Herediano and Deportivo Saprissa. The game, part of the 15th round of the national championship, is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, at 8:00 p.m. at the Carlos Alvarado stadium.

Saprissa head coach Hernán Medford emphasized the necessity of a victory to maintain their pursuit of the tournament leadership. Medford noted that while finishing the first phase in first place provides a competitive advantage, it does not guarantee a championship title. Both teams require a win to bolster their qualification prospects, suggesting a highly dynamic match.
