Costa Rica Ministry of Health renews Lito Pérez Stadium permit

The Costa Rican Ministry of Health has authorized an eight-month renewal of the Sanitary Operating Permit for the Miguel Angel “Lito” Pérez Municipal Stadium in Puntarenas. This decision allows the venue, home to Puntarenas FC, to continue hosting sporting, recreational, and cultural activities.

The permit establishes a maximum capacity of 1,740 people. Under the current sanitary and safety conditions, the east and west stands are authorized for 850 people each, while the north and south stands remain subject to restricted capacities based on technical criteria.

Minister of Health Alexander Sánchez Cabo stated that the ministry aims to ensure the stadium remains a meeting point for the community while maintaining rigorous oversight to safeguard public health and safety.
