Costa Rica music events face cancellations
Several major musical events in Costa Rica have been canceled. The Barboza Fest 2026, scheduled for September 12 at the Estadio Nacional, has been called off by HBarboza Producciones. The organizers cited low ticket sales and a saturated concert market for the end of 2026 as the primary reasons for the decision. The festival lineup included artists such as Nicky Jam, Wisin, Banda MS, and Espinoza Paz.
Additionally, American musician Jon Batiste, an eight-time Grammy winner, has canceled his scheduled September 3 performance at Parque Viva. Batiste cited “personal circumstances” for the cancellation, which also affects four other dates in the United States.
For both events, organizers have announced that ticket holders will receive automatic 100% refunds to the original credit or debit card used for the purchase via the Kuikpei platform, requiring no additional action from consumers.
