Costa Rica President reaffirms fight against gender ideology in schools

Costa Rican President Laura Fernández has reaffirmed her administration's commitment to removing what she describes as “gender ideology” from schools and colleges. During a message addressed to deputies, leaders, and evangelical pastors, Fernández stated that her government is actively working to eliminate such content to promote an education based on traditional values rather than the “sexualization” of minors.

Fernández also addressed her administration's foreign policy, noting that the government is working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure Costa Rican representatives in international organizations, such as the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS), uphold the country's traditional cultural values and sovereignty against external impositions.

Additionally, the President marked her first 100 days in office by highlighting regular coordination with the ruling Pueblo Soberano Party in the Legislative Assembly, emphasizing that accountability is becoming a routine practice within her administration.
