The Ministry of Culture and Youth (MCJ) of Costa Rica has released the results of the 2026 National Culture Survey (ENC2026), marking the first such national measurement in nearly a decade. Conducted in collaboration with CID Gallup, the study provides a detailed analysis of the population's cultural practices, habits, and forms of participation.

The survey included 6,308 in-person interviews conducted between October 2025 and January 2026, featuring a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ±1.23 percentage points. The data covers eleven thematic axes, aiming to identify shifts in cultural habits, recognize access gaps, and understand potential audiences to better direct government investment and artistic offerings.
