Costa Rica showcases cultural heritage with cinema podcast and Mexico pop‑up brunch

The Costa Rican Ministry of Culture and Youth, through the Centro Costarricense de Cine y Audiovisual, has launched the "Cine y Memoria" podcast. Hosted on Spotify, the series now includes 18 episodes that interview filmmakers, producers, actors and cultural managers to document the history and development of Costa Rican cinema.

On 9 August, the Embassy of Costa Rica in Mexico City hosted a free pop‑up brunch at its Río Po 113 location. The event, part of the La Ru‑Tica 2026 program, offered specialty coffee, tropical fruit and traditional dishes, promoting Costa Rican culture and environmental awareness. Organisers estimate the gathering will cut about 1.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, underscoring the diplomatic initiative’s sustainability focus.
