Costa Rica to host discussion on migrant economic integration
The Jesuit Refugee Service Costa Rica (SJM-CR) and the Spanish Cultural Center (CCE) will host a discussion titled ‘Hacerse la vida’ on October 21. The event is part of the ‘Mover un país’ cycle, which focuses on migration, hospitality, and inclusion in Costa Rica.
The conversation will examine the economic integration of migrants and refugees, specifically looking at their contributions to various economic sectors and the barriers they face in achieving full integration. The session will also explore initiatives aimed at promoting dignified livelihoods, including vocational training, individual entrepreneurship, and collective projects that link economic inclusion with psychosocial well-being and community coexistence.
