Costa Rican INDER invests ₡58 million in rural education technology
The Rural Development Institute (Inder) has invested over ₡58 million to strengthen technical and socio-productive education for approximately 1,155 students in Costa Rica. The funding targets two specific educational centers: the Liceo Rural de Santa Rosa in Oreamuno and the Colegio Técnico Profesional (CTP) Fernando Volio Jiménez in Quebradilla de Cartago.
At the Liceo Rural de Santa Rosa, ₡28.6 million was allocated to enhance socio-productive workshops, personal development activities, and community service. This investment provides students with the materials and tools necessary to develop skills in production, entrepreneurship, and economic self-management.
The CTP Fernando Volio Jiménez received ₡29.5 million for agricultural tools, livestock production supplies, and technological equipment. This initiative aims to improve technical agricultural training for roughly 1,000 students by providing better-equipped learning spaces to promote innovation and employability.
