Costa Rican man dies during EDC Medellín festival

A 27-year-old Costa Rican citizen died during the first day of the EDC electronic music festival held at the Atanasio Girardot Sports Unit in Medellín, Colombia.

The victim was found unconscious in a restroom at the venue and was experiencing breathing difficulties. Emergency responders provided initial care and coordinated his urgent transfer to the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe. Despite medical efforts to stabilize him for approximately three hours, he passed away at the hospital.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of death. Preliminary medical reports suggest a possible overdose, though the exact circumstances surrounding the emergency remain under investigation.
