Govén Ulisses Chávez Ramírez arrested in Puebla
Mexican federal authorities conducted a coordinated operation in Lomas de Angelópolis, Puebla, resulting in the arrest of Govén Ulisses Chávez Ramírez, known as 'El Amarillo' or 'El Gobén'. Authorities identify him as a high-priority target and a leader of a criminal cell linked to the 'Los Rusos' organization, which primarily operates in Acapulco, Guerrero.
During the operation, which involved the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR), and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), two alleged bodyguards were also detained. Law enforcement seized weapons, drugs, and luxury vehicles, including high-end models such as a McLaren 765LT, a Lamborghini Urus, and a Mercedes-AMG G 63.
Chávez Ramírez is allegedly involved in extortion, kidnapping, homicide, and drug trafficking. One of the detainees reportedly held an outstanding arrest warrant for qualified homicide.
In a separate but related investigation in Costa Rica, a Public Force officer surnamed Ureña was ordered to one year of preventive prison for alleged links to the criminal organization led by Alejandro Arias Monge, alias 'Diablo'. The investigation suggests the officer may have facilitated the sale of seized drugs to the criminal group.
