Costa Rica sees significant developments in regional sports infrastructure and talent development. In Jacó, BMX athlete Kenneth Tencio hosted the National BMX Freestyle Championship at Bac Park 10cio, marking the third anniversary of the facility. Tencio secured his seventh national title in the elite category, while the event expanded its divisions to encourage participation among new generations.

In Limón, the Municipality and the Costa Rican Football Federation (FCRF) have signed an agreement to implement the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS). This initiative aims to identify and train young football prospects using the Juan Gobán stadium. The partnership focuses on technical training and specialized coaching, utilizing non-monetary contributions from the local government to decentralize sports opportunities in the country.
